Children's Bible Clubs
The Children's Bible Club runs every Friday lunchtime at Malborough Primary School and is well attended by 15-20 children. We include lots of songs and dancing to warm up followed by a mix of quizzes, games, Bible study, stories and cut-out and make activities. Children of all ages are familiar with finding their scripture verses using the 'sword drill' although more Bibles were required: In response, another six Good News Rainbow Bibles were donated by the church - many thanks to those who donated so generously! This term we're looking at the ministry and life of Jesus. Malborough Primary School has just been awarded an 'Outstanding' grade by the Bishop of Plymouth after the Church Schools Inspection.
Local Outreach
In partnership with the Spiritulized bus, we organise meetings with young adults in the village twice a month. On the first Friday of the month, the Spiritulized bus parks at the village hall car park welcoming all manner of children and young adults from 8-9 pm. On the third Friday of the month the chapel is open for hot chocolate, toast and snacks and we provide a time to relax and have fun.
Monthly fellowship meal and devotion
There are a number of members and older folk who find it very difficult to get out and meet. Each month we aim to provide a meal at the Chapel and transport for those who are housebound. Many folk have been turning up and thoroughly enjoy the time of fellowship.
We meet on several Thursdays in the month (please see calendar for details) for Bible study and fellowship in the evening (Life Groups). We are meeting in homes at Malborough, Kingsbridge and Salcombe. To find out when and where our next meetings take place please check the latest Fellowship News or phone Rev Tim on
01548 560168.
Prayer & Worship Evening
On the last Sunday evening of every month we aim to join together for prayer and worship. This may include video worship, live worship and testimonies. It's a time to rest and be ministered to. Many people from several churches have attended this meeting enjoying live worship from worship teams such as 'Chosen' (St.Jude's, Tavistock) and our own talented Sterry family.
Thursday Prayer
The regular Thursday prayer meeting takes place at 2.15 - 3.00pm, every Thursday, for around half an hour at the Chapel. Please feel free to drop in at this time.
